Jane Austen Giveaway HOP ✽ May 24 - 27
Welcome! I always look forward to taking part in blog hops—those in honor of Jane Austen, especially. They provide such wonderful opportunities to engage with fellow Austen lovers; some of you for the very first time.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. I will share one of my favorite lines from Jane Austen’s writings with you, in the hope that you will share one of yours with me. I am certain this is no easy task what with so many delightful gems from which to choose. I find the following line particularly diverting.
“Well, my comfort is, I am sure Jane will die of a broken heart, and then he will be sorry for what he has done.”Mrs. Bennet, Pride and Prejudice
I love it! ✽ It’s your turn.
To enter the giveaway, simply comment below (include an email address,) and fill out the Rafflecopter form for a chance to win one of the three audio books shown—winner’s choice!
If you’re selected as the winner, and you are not an audio book lover – yet – you may elect any of my eBooks as your prize.
This giveaway contest ends on May 27th. The winner will be announced on May 28th.
Thanks for ‘hopping’ by and taking part in the giveaway. Remember, the fun doesn’t end here. Participate in the giveaways at all the blogs listed below!

From Persuasion, Capt Wentworth's Letter to Anne:

DeleteI like - I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library - makes me wish I lived in a very large house with its own library

DeleteThese are my two favorites from Persuasion:
ReplyDelete“My idea of good company...is the company of clever, well-informed people, who have a great deal of conversation; that is what I call good company.'
'You are mistaken,' said he gently, 'that is not good company, that is the best.”
and of course:
I can listen no longer in silence. I must speak to you by such means as are within my reach. You pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me not that I am too late, that such precious feelings are gone for ever. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight years and a half ago. - Wentworth - Persuasion
♥❤♥ SWOON ♥❤♥ Two great passages. Upon reading this, I immediately headed over to Audible.com to pick up the Persuasion audio book. Now, I only need to decide which narration I like best.
