Anticipation is Making Me ... Plan

I've spent the past week enhancing my website and blogs in anticipation of the upcoming release of Lady Harriette: Fitzwilliam's Heart and Soul. So what does website enhancements have to do with a new release? You'd be surprised. Actually, I prepared an 11-point Marketing Plan for the book as part of a wonderful class with 30DayBooks.com.

Five of the eleven steps are listed below:
  • Revise Author Bio
  • Create Media Page/Media Kit
  • Add Notification Bar and Bottom of Every Post plug-ins
  • New Author Tagline
  • Add Opt-in form

As you can see, my Marketing Plan for Lady Harriette emphasizes enhancing my web presence as much as it entails promoting the book. In nearly all cases,  the two goals are inherently linked. Case in point, my author tagline:

Original: Oh yes, Mr. Darcy would do that!
New: ♞ Gentlemen on horseback and the women they love.

My original tagline was very Darcy-centric. Not that I object to anything that might be described as Darcy-centric ... but I digress. For the first time, Mr. Darcy is not the leading man in  my tale. In Lady Harriette, the honor goes to Colonel Fitzwilliam. This story is a sequel to What He Would Not Do, which is the sequel to To Have His Cake (and Eat It Too.) Thus, Darcy and Richard's unbreakable bond remains in tact. To quote Elizabeth when speaking with Lady Harriette about seeking out their husbands:
“Yes—we are certain to find them together.”
I hope you'll spend a few minutes checking out some of  the enhancements to my website. Plus, sign up below and take advantage of exciting subscriber-only features and perks.
